Ciana peered over her book, watching with slight interest as the nerdy man shuffled through the shelves. That was an oddity in itself; Ciana seldom bothered with humans, except when killing them. She had heard rumors about this man, though, mostly bad ones. He was supposedly writing a book about werewolves. Real werewolves.

He claimed to have had contact with one, and that the were was giving him information for the book. That was unacceptable. A book would dull the edge werewolves had over humanity. The mystery of their existence was one of the best weapons werekind could have. Take that away, and the fight would be only that much harder.

The man's tiny eyes darted back and forth warily, though apparently he did not find Ciana a threat. Most didn't, but they rarely lived long enough to correct that mistake.

The...author... dropped a book on a table and walked out through the doors, muttering to himself. There had only been one reason the man had lived this long - because Ciana wanted to find the traitor. Well, the traitor had been found and dealt with, so the man had no more protection.

Quietly, Ciana drifted to the door, appearing to slip casually through the doors after her prey. She quickened her pace, then came even with him. "What do you want?" he said gruffly, watching her out of the corner of his eye. Ciana smiled. A long-bladed knife, hidden up her sleeve, shot into her hand, she drove it through his back, casually. No fuss needed over a simple human, though the wolf inside her howled for blood. She caught him with her free hand and wiped the blade on his jacket before sending it back up her sleeve. She let him slump to the ground. She quickly pulled of her bloody jacket and dropped it on the body. Then she turned back to the library.

The librarian glanced up. "Just putting my jacket in the car." Ciana said softly, forcing a smile. The librarian grinned back and went back to her paperwork. Without a second thought to her deed, she went back to her book. Art of War truly was interesting, to say the least.
